Shadows Tell Our Stories

“I chose to portray the male body by painting only the shadows cast upon the skin of the model, offering the viewer the opportunity to interpret the elements of the form which are left incomplete… For me, the title “Shadows Tell Our Stories” introduces a personal undercurrent into the piece as it reflects my relationship with mental health and the role our personal ‘shadows’ - to borrow a Jungian term - play within the ways in which we perceive ourselves”
