Chiselled
“The London-based photographer Daniel Jaems uses his unique gaze and lighting techniques to convey images of the male form in all its splendour - and this piece is based on one of his images. I decided to really emphasise the chiselled muscularity of the model - drawing the abdominal muscles as if they were almost breaking away from the body itself - whilst incorporating an exaggerated fluidity and length through the arms in order to balance the lower chiselled features and give the composition an appropriate level of aesthetic equilibrium.”
