Disproportionate Still Life
“Of the everyday joys in life, little brings me more joy than a bouquet of colourful flowers to enliven the heart and soul of any space! For the still life, I wanted to exude an element of simplicity but also playfulness, thereby using overly vivid colours and some disproportionality to inject the piece with this imperfect aspects by design - what that be the positioning of the flowers high enough on the canvas that the highest one is in fact nearly cut off at the top of the space, or the asymmetrical curve of the table edges as they disappear behind the vase”
